The Big 5 Show Dubai opened on Monday 22 November 2010 amidst confidence that the building and construction industry in the region is surging again. In fact an independent GCC Industry reports (copies available) indicate $23 billion was spent on construction in 2010 with nearly 1,300 projects worth over $480 billion are currently under construction.

The Big 5 Show will host over 2,500 exhibitors from 70 countries with 27 national pavilions over the 4 days of the event. The Australia and NZ pavilions are being managed by Export Solutions and our exhibitors have all reported excellent lead gathering and sales generated from the first 2 days. General comments have been that visitors from Saudi, Iran, Kuwait and even some European countries along with UAE visitors are prevalent. Special mention needs to be made of Seeley International who won Gold in the industry GAIA awards and had a personal visit from His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai following the opening ceremony of The Big 5 Show.
